    Selected Poem
April 29
He opened his eyes to view the world around him. It all seemed so benevolent. His options were wide open. His life took a turn. The world seemed so cruel. He formed pessimistic views and when in doubt the man turned to hatred. He had no one to comfort him in his misery.

The bright and outstanding world was now dark and blurred. Things turn against us so quickly and we canít take the change. We canít handle the want, the greed, the need.

He searched for a different path. The man chose the beautiful track. He judged more on scenery than on what was at the end. He wanted to turn back and hide but the other end looked just the same. He was trapped - trapped in his own life. He kept down the road with evil thoughts in his head. Friends came and went. He soon found the end.

The bright and outstanding world was now dark and blurred. Things turn against us so quickly and we canít take the change. We canít handle the want, the greed, the need.

He thought of ending it all. He thought of using the weapon. Then he saw the light. She gave him hope. He changed his life and he changed his views. He changed his options to turn the world around. He could finally breathe without choking. After his metamorphosis she left. He kept his life, views, and options. He wouldnít give them back. He now saw that the world could be bliss. He judged what was at the end.

The dark and blurred world was now bright and outstanding. Things turned against him so quickly and he took the change. He handled the want, the greed, the need. He was free.
